How to Remove Embedded Images in Excel

Embedded images - company logos, pasted screenshots, product photos, or signature images - are common in templates and reports, but each one adds meaningfully to a workbook's file size, and a sheet with many images can become noticeably slower to open, scroll, and save. Images can also end up in a workbook by accident, pasted in alongside data copied from a web page or another document, without anyone intending to add a picture to the sheet at all.

1. Go to the Home tab, click Find & Select, then choose Go To Special.

4. Repeat on each additional worksheet in the workbook, since this selects objects one sheet at a time.
5. Save the file and confirm the file size has decreased as expected.
