1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how TurboSoft ("TurboSoft", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website or software applications available at https://www.turbo-soft.com.
TurboSoft develops desktop software designed to process files locally on a user's device. Protecting user privacy and maintaining transparency regarding data processing practices is extremely important to us.
By accessing our website or using our software products, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Offline-First Software Design
TurboSoft applications are designed using an offline-first architecture. This means that all file processing occurs directly on your computer and does not require uploading files to external servers.
When using our image conversion, resizing, renaming, or batch processing tools, the following principles apply:
- ✓Your images and files remain on your device at all times
- ✓No file content is uploaded to TurboSoft servers
- ✓No image processing occurs in the cloud
- ✓No personal media files are stored or transmitted
This design significantly reduces privacy risks and ensures users maintain full control over their data.
3. Software Privacy
TurboSoft desktop applications are built with privacy as a core design principle, not an afterthought. This section explains in detail how our software handles your files, system resources, and personal data during normal operation.
3.1 Your Files Stay on Your Device
When you load a folder of images into Turbo Batch Image Converter, Turbo Batch Image Converter Raw, Turbo Batch Image Converter Lite, or Turbo Batch File Rename Tool, the application reads those files directly from your local storage using your operating system's file APIs. No network request is made to transmit these files externally. Converted or renamed output files are written back to your local disk at the folder you specify. At no point are your files buffered to a remote server, cached in any cloud storage, or queued for transmission.
3.2 No Background File Scanning
TurboSoft applications do not scan your computer in the background. The software only reads files in the folder you explicitly select for processing. It does not crawl your file system, index your documents, or scan directories outside the scope of the task you initiate. When the application is closed, all processing stops immediately and no residual file-scanning activity continues.
3.3 EXIF and Image Metadata
Some TurboSoft tools can read image metadata (EXIF data) — for example, Turbo Batch File Rename Tool can extract DateTimeOriginal from photo EXIF to use as a filename prefix. This metadata is read locally from your files and used only to perform the task you requested. EXIF data is never transmitted externally, stored in logs, or shared with any third party. All metadata handling is local and session-only.
3.4 RAW Image Privacy
Turbo Batch Image Converter Raw processes professional camera RAW files (CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, RAF, and others) entirely on your device using embedded decoding libraries. RAW files often contain sensitive embedded thumbnails, GPS location data, and camera metadata. TurboSoft never reads, transmits, or stores any of this embedded data. The RAW decoding process is purely local: input RAW file in, converted output file out — nothing is sent externally at any stage.
3.5 No Screenshots or Screen Capture
TurboSoft software does not capture screenshots, record screen activity, or take screen recordings of any kind. The application renders entirely within its own window and does not observe or interact with other applications running on your system.
3.6 No Keylogging or Input Tracking
TurboSoft applications do not record keystrokes, monitor clipboard content, or observe input activity outside the application window. Text entered into fields such as search boxes, rename rules, or quality settings is used exclusively within the application for the current session and is never transmitted or stored.
3.7 Temporary Files and Working Memory
During batch processing, TurboSoft may create temporary files or use in-memory buffers to handle intermediate conversion steps. These temporary files are created in your system's standard temp directory, are used solely for the current conversion task, and are removed upon task completion or application exit. TurboSoft does not retain, analyze, or transmit the content of these temporary files.
3.8 Preset and Settings Storage
User-configured settings — such as rename presets saved in Turbo Batch File Rename Tool or compression quality preferences — are stored locally in your application data folder on your own machine. These settings files are never synced to remote servers, shared with TurboSoft, or accessible outside your local user account.
3.9 Sensitive and Confidential Workflows
TurboSoft software is used by photographers, medical imaging teams, legal document teams, government agencies, and enterprises handling confidential content. The offline-only design ensures that sensitive files — including patient images, legal documents, proprietary product photographs, and personally identifiable visual data — are never exposed to external networks during processing. This makes TurboSoft suitable for use in air-gapped environments, corporate networks with strict egress policies, and any workflow where data confidentiality is a requirement.
📷 Photographers
RAW files and high-resolution photographs containing GPS coordinates and camera metadata are processed entirely offline. No location data or image content is transmitted.
🏢 Enterprises
Batch image workflows in corporate environments stay within your internal network. TurboSoft introduces zero external data flow during image or file processing operations.
⚕ Medical & Legal
Medical images and legal document scans require strict confidentiality. TurboSoft's local-only architecture means no patient or client data leaves the device.
👤 Personal Use
Personal photos, family images, and private documents processed through TurboSoft are never seen by anyone outside your machine — not even TurboSoft.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
TurboSoft intentionally minimizes data collection. Our software does not collect or store the following information:
- ✗Personal files or images processed by the software
- ✗Image metadata or EXIF data
- ✗User documents or project files
- ✗System analytics or telemetry from the application
- ✗Personal identifiers such as name, address, or phone number
- ✗Background usage tracking or behavioral analytics
- ✗Keystroke or clipboard data
- ✗Screen recordings or screenshots
- ✗File names, folder paths, or directory structures
- ✗GPS coordinates or location data embedded in images
Your files remain private and accessible only on your local system.
5. Local File Processing Architecture
All TurboSoft applications follow a strict local processing model. When you convert an image, resize a batch of photos, or rename files, every operation is executed using your computer's CPU and local storage. The processing pipeline looks like this:
No external server. No cloud upload. No internet connection required during processing.
This architecture means conversion speed is only limited by your local hardware — not by internet bandwidth or server-side queue times. It also means there is no theoretical risk of your files being intercepted, accessed by third parties, or exposed in a data breach on a remote server.
6. License Activation & Network Usage
TurboSoft applications require a one-time license activation when first launched. This is the only point at which an internet connection is used.
During activation, the application sends a verification request to TurboSoft's license server to confirm that the email and key match a valid Gumroad purchase. Once activation succeeds:
- ✓The license is stored locally on your device
- ✓No repeated activation is required for regular use
- ✓All subsequent use is fully offline — no internet required
- ✓The activation request contains no file content or personal media
After successful activation, TurboSoft operates in a completely offline mode. The application does not make network calls during image conversion, batch processing, file renaming, or any other regular operation.
7. No Telemetry, No Usage Analytics
TurboSoft software does not include any usage telemetry, crash reporting agents, or behavioral analytics SDKs. Many desktop applications silently collect usage statistics — such as which features are used, how long the app is open, or how many files are processed — and transmit this data to the developer's servers.
TurboSoft does none of this. There are no embedded analytics libraries, no background reporting services, and no silent network calls made during application use.
✓ No feature usage tracking
✓ No session length or frequency reporting
✓ No silent background network calls
If TurboSoft encounters a software issue, we rely on users voluntarily contacting support to report problems. We do not collect error information without your explicit involvement.
8. Website Analytics and Cookies
Our website may use limited analytics tools to understand general website usage and improve performance. These analytics tools may collect anonymized information such as:
- Browser type
- Device type
- General geographic region
- Pages visited
- Referral sources
This information does not personally identify users and is used solely to improve website usability and content.
Cookies may also be used for website functionality, analytics measurement, and secure checkout through third-party payment platforms. Users may disable cookies in their browser settings if desired.
9. Third-Party Services
Certain services used by TurboSoft may involve third-party providers that help operate our website and deliver software products. Examples may include:
- Payment processing platforms such as Gumroad (for software purchases)

These providers operate independently and have their own privacy policies governing how they process data. TurboSoft is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We recommend reviewing their policies directly.
10. Data Security
TurboSoft implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Security practices include:
- ✓Secure HTTPS connections for all website communication
- ✓Encrypted data transfer where applicable
- ✓Minimal data collection by design — we cannot leak data we do not have
- ✓Offline software processing eliminates network-level file exposure
- ✓License keys are verified server-side without storing file content
While we take security seriously, no internet transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. However, because TurboSoft processes files locally, the risk surface for file-level data exposure is minimal.
11. Email Communication
If you contact TurboSoft via email for support or inquiries, we may temporarily store your email address and message content in order to respond to your request. Support emails are used only for communication purposes and are not sold, shared, or used for marketing without consent.
12. Data Retention
Because our applications process files locally, TurboSoft typically does not store user data. Any support communication data may be retained only as long as necessary to resolve the inquiry or maintain support history.
License activation records — consisting of the email address and license key — are retained by our payment processor (Gumroad) as part of the purchase record. TurboSoft does not independently store additional user profile data beyond what Gumroad provides as part of license management.
13. Children's Privacy
TurboSoft software and website are not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a child without parental consent, we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.
