Million Row Excel Copier

A single Excel worksheet holds about 1,048,576 rows, and long before you reach that ceiling, pasting hundreds of thousands of rows at once can lock up the application entirely. Excel simply wasn't built to accept an enormous paste in a single operation.

Million by Million Rows Copier copies Excel data in large chunks specifically to work around this. As an Excel copier for oversized datasets, it loads XLSX, XLS, CSV, and 25 or more other formats, then copies the data out in Excel-safe, 1,000,000-row chunks that never exceed a sheet's row limit.

Load your data once, by pasting with Ctrl+V or loading a file, click Start Copying Out, then use Copy Next Chunk to build and copy each million-row piece, pasting it into a fresh Excel sheet or workbook before moving on to the next chunk.

Each chunk includes the header row automatically, so every sheet you paste into is self-describing from the start, and every chunk is also saved to disk in your chosen format, XLSX included, the moment it's copied.

Chunk size defaults to 1,000,000, fitting comfortably under Excel's limit, but can be adjusted from 1 to 10,000,000 if you need a different size for a specific workbook or workflow.

Everything runs locally on your PC, aside from a one-time license check. Loading, chunking, and exporting all happen offline, with your data never uploaded anywhere. Data analysts and engineers moving large extracts between tools, database administrators handing off query results, finance and accounting teams transferring big ledgers, operations and reporting staff assembling data from many sources, and anyone who has ever tried to paste more rows into Excel than it was willing to accept, all use the same underlying workflow. Virtual rendering keeps the loaded-data view smooth even at the upper end of the app's capacity, and every worker thread runs its own SQLite connection in WAL mode, so nothing here depends on your PC having an unusual amount of memory to spare.

1. Install Million by Million Rows Copier on your Windows PC.
2. Paste your Excel data with Ctrl+V or load an XLSX or XLS file.
3. Click Start Copying Out to lock the dataset in place.
4. Click Copy Next Chunk to build the first million-row piece.
5. Paste that chunk into a fresh Excel sheet or workbook.
6. Click Copy Next Chunk for the next piece.
7. Repeat, pasting into new sheets, until the dataset is complete.
8. Check your output folder for the auto-saved chunk files.
9. Use Re-copy Current Chunk if your clipboard gets overwritten mid-paste.
10. Click Open Output Folder to review everything you've saved so far.
