Anyone who works with text, images, or files all day runs into this constantly: you copy a paragraph, then need an address you copied two minutes ago, and it has already been overwritten. Gwen fixes that single, universal frustration.

Gwen is a lightweight clipboard manager that runs quietly in the system tray and remembers everything you copy on Windows, text, images, files, and even hex color codes. Press a global hotkey, Ctrl+Shift+V by default, and a small popup opens right next to your cursor, showing your recent copies newest-first. Pick one and it's pasted straight back into whatever window you were working in.

Modeled on the same idea as Maccy on macOS, Gwen doesn't try to be a note-taking suite or a sync service. It does one job, does it quickly, and keeps everything on your own machine. Copy something and Gwen captures it automatically the moment it lands on the clipboard. Copied images get a real thumbnail preview, and hex color codes like #FE92F5 are detected and shown with a live color swatch, no setup required.

Under the hood: a background thread checks Windows' clipboard-change counter a few times a second; when it moves, Gwen reads what changed and only then. Each capture is sorted into text, image, file, or color, and written to a small SQLite database on your PC newest-first, with images cached as PNGs alongside a tiny inline preview thumbnail. Preferences cover the global hotkey, Max History Items (200 by default, older entries trimmed automatically), Poll Interval (300ms by default), Start with Windows, and Clear on Restart.
