Excel Dataset Copier

An Excel dataset too large for a single sheet needs to be spread across multiple sheets or workbooks, and doing that manually means figuring out exactly where to cut the data and copying each section over by hand, a genuinely tedious and error-prone process at scale.

Million by Million Rows Copier copies large Excel datasets in batches automatically. Load your data, by pasting with Ctrl+V or loading an XLSX or XLS file, click Start Copying Out, then use Copy Next Chunk to produce each batch, by default 1,000,000 rows, ready to paste into its own sheet.

Because the app determines batch boundaries automatically once you click Start Copying Out, there's no manual calculation of where one batch should end and the next should begin, every batch is exactly the size you've configured, consistently, throughout the session.

Each batch includes the header row automatically, so building out a multi-sheet Excel dataset from batches feels the same as working with a single well-structured table, just repeated across as many sheets as the dataset requires.

Every batch is also saved to disk as XLSX or another chosen format the moment it's copied, so beyond whatever you paste manually into Excel, you also end up with a complete, split file backup of the entire dataset.

Everything runs locally on your PC, aside from a one-time license check. Loading, batching, and exporting all happen offline, with your Excel dataset never uploaded anywhere. Virtual rendering keeps the loaded-data view smooth even at the upper end of the app's capacity, and every worker thread runs its own SQLite connection in WAL mode, so nothing here depends on your PC having an unusual amount of memory to spare.

1. Install Million by Million Rows Copier on your Windows PC.
2. Paste your Excel data with Ctrl+V or load an XLSX or XLS file.
3. Click Start Copying Out to lock the dataset and batch size in place.
4. Click Copy Next Chunk to build the first batch.
5. Paste that batch into a new Excel sheet.
6. Click Copy Next Chunk for the next batch.
7. Repeat, pasting into new sheets, until the dataset is complete.
8. Review the auto-saved XLSX batches in your output folder.
9. Use Re-copy Current Chunk if your clipboard gets overwritten mid-paste.
10. Click Open Output Folder to review everything you've saved so far.
